October 2010

Hello old friend.

Haven’t posted on here in a while.  Lots of things have happened.  Went to a wedding this month (a posh one at that, too!).  Found it interesting that the bride remains silent for the duration.  I don’t think that’s right, but I suppose it is “the way of things.”  The best man, the groom’s father, and the groom get a chance to speak at the reception.  But not the bride.  Never the bride.  Why not?

More importantly, I moved this month!  Out of Coquitlam and into Burnaby.  Edging westwards once more.  I couldn’t be happier!  My own place, that I can return to and feel relaxed and safe.  Long time coming.  But well worth the wait, for the right place, and the right time :)

Let’s see, what else is new.  All continues to go well at work, my car Bertie continues to gleam and perform well, and I haven’t gotten a cold.  All good news!

Had a nice Thanksgiving lunch with my parents.  Perhaps had too much pumpkin pie.  But I’ve been going to the gym regularly, so hopefully I won’t turn into a pie!

And oh yes, speaking of exercise, curling has returned to my life.  A most welcome return!  And at Royal City Curling Club, to boot!  Have always wanted to curl there, mainly because of how many provincial champions have come from that rink.  Kelley Law, Greg MacAulay, Brent Pierce, Georgina Wheatcroft…just to name a few.  Pretty neat, I say :)

All in all, a solid month.  And still more good things to come, I hope!
